Moral Distortion

Moral distortion is a real thing.

It’s interesting how we can be judgmental towards others.  Maybe their clothes aren’t up to our standards.  We don’t agree with whom they choose to be acquaintances.  It can be something as simple as the type of car they drive.

The Universe works in mysterious ways.

Have you ever had an instance where you find yourself in a similar situation?  I have.  It was such an epiphany.

In my opinion, there are a couple ways that you can handle judging someone.  On one hand, you could express your disappointment verbally; then again, you could keep it to yourself.

My question is when you discover yourself in similar situations, do you admit to it?  Especially if you chose to verbally reprimand someone.

Or do you keep it to yourself?

Granted, things happen and no one is exempt from any situation under the sun.

Even so, do you tell yourself “My situation is different from theirs because…”

Insert whatever excuse is needed.

What makes you so different, to the point where you’d contradict your own morals and then make an excuse for it while still holding others to a higher standard?

Does your reality embarrass you?

Just a thought…
